Up-dos

Our up-do sessions usually take up to an hour to one hour and forty-five minutes. The session includes a Kevin Murphy experience shampoo and style including using a curling iron and curlers and or a flat iron if at the end of the style it is not the look you are trying to accomplish we then at the time will style the hair in a up-do which 99% of the time we sew it up with hemp string to ensure it stays in place during and after your event it will also be very comfortable for the wearer no poky pins or tight bands will be used.

Shampoo blowouts

During your blow out session we provide you with a shampoo and treatment Kevin Murphy experience followed by setting a style by using either a curling iron than hair curlers or a flat iron depending out the style you are looking for during the process we will video record and immediately email the video to you so you can accomplish the same look our master stylist has during your style session.

Balayage

Bayalage is a French technique, it comes from a root word “to balay” which means to sweep. To balayage is a highlighting / coloring technique where you take three or more of a hair coloring product lighter and darker but in the same color family and you actually free-form hand paint the individual sections of hair. Balayage is different from traditional highlighting, in that most people highlight with foil. Balayage is designed to give your hair a little bit more of a natural look more like a child’s hair where you see the streaks and pieces are not the same flowing through the hair. Sometimes the highlights start a little closer to the root area sometimes they start a bit further away but they’re in different sizes and shapes, that is the look and idea we achieve with a balayage technique.

Melts

A huge trend right now with hair coloring is called color melting. Basically instead of applying highlights root to end like you normally would with foils, you blend the colors from dark at the roots to light at the ends. This can be done with just two colors or as many colors as you like. The highlights are placed in order to bring out facial features and brighten up your skin tone. The results are really natural and soft, the type of look that is worn by lots of celebrities right now. Color melting has been around for a while, but people still tend to shy away from it because they think that dark roots and light ends will make them look like they have “grow-out” which is not true it actually gives you a very natural effect.

Weaves

Weaving is sectioning out specific areas of the hair for color while leaving other hair untouched. It is done to give the hair dimension and a natural highlighted or dramatic effect. Coloring procedures that can be used for weaving techniques are low-lights, highlights and multiple colors. Low-lights add darker color to light hair, whereas highlights add lighter color to darker hair. To add multiple colors, put two or more colors throughout the hair using the above techniques and alternating colors.
Retouches:
Retouching is used for tinting virgin hair or new regrowth. During this service we may incorporate a balayage or melting technique to create a very natural “ Pull through “ look. (We do not pull through the same color from root to end).

Toner

Toning hair is done to neutralize brassy, yellow or yellow/orange) pigments. Using hair toner effectively rids the hair of unwanted hues. After bleaching hair is the most common time for using hair toner. Because bleach leaves the hair in a raw-pigment state which is less-than-attractive, you need to add back pigments to create a ‘natural’ look. Our Artego toner is a translucent color 90% of it does not have ammonia; it basically enhances a pre-oxidized hair color.

Chocolate Keratin

Marcia Chocolate Treatment is a treatment that eliminates up to 80 percent of frizz and reduces curl pattern by up to 70 percent. The treatment lasts up to 8 weeks, and does not contain ingredients that produce formaldehyde. Our Chocolate Treatment prevents and repairs hair cuticle damage, enhances shine and gloss of the hair, and leaves hair soft and easy to manage.

Japanese Thermal Straightening

Liscio Japanese Hair straightening is a technique from Japan to make frizzy, curly or wavy hair completely straight while preserving your hair’s health. Japanese hair straightening will improve your hairs feel, softness and shine while making it more manageable this treatment is a fairly involved procedure it can take between 4-8 hours to complete depending on your hair length and volume.

Perm

Switch Salons perms are done very differently. We use the Organic system from England and Ban di terre from Italy these perm systems are the most friendly for the environment, your skin and well being. These systems offer the most gentle form of perming, featuring the mildest and safest revolutionary deodorizing additive reducing the odor 50% more than other perms out there, formulated with alfalfa extract to strengthen and condition while adding curl to hair that lasts up to 6 months the curl size can very depending on the look you are going for.
